Many marketers face a seemingly impossible task of not just engaging with their customers, but doing so in a way that helps their brand stand out. While they may have the creativity and strategy to create these engaging customer journeys, key obstacles can include the time, resources, and technical knowledge to bring the vision to life and scale it to right the customers in the most effective ways.
Today, many leading brands already use Braze Canvas, our no-code Journey Orchestration tool, to seamlessly craft, iterate, and optimize sophisticated customer journeys. Over the past year, Braze customers have created more than 400,000 Canvases, with more than 3.6 million steps, leading to amazing customer experiences along the way. But customers are always asking us: What else can I be doing? What experiences are working well for other brands that I should use?
We’ve taken your feedback and are excited to share Canvas examples for inspiration and experimentation. Last month at Forge 2024, we announced the general availability of our new Canvas Template Library. This library offers pre-built use cases you can leverage to test, implement, and customize vetted Canvas journeys, helping you to get started quickly while exploring new ideas from Braze experts and industry-leading brands. These Canvas Templates give you access to best-in-class out-of-the-box templates that have already proven impact, for example with common use cases like onboarding, post-purchase feedback, and abandoned intent.
When we officially unveiled this feature, we called upon our customers in a template contest where they were asked to create and deliver the most value-driving and creative Canvas use case. The contest was judged by leaders on our Solutions, Product, and Engineering teams with the winner receiving the opportunity to have their template included within the Braze platform to inspire a template in our own out-of-the-box library.
While there were many worthy winners who orchestrated creative and value-driving template submissions, the winner came from Olga Baker for her “Product Repurchase Reminder Canvas Template.” Olga is from Procter and Gamble’s Charlie Banana, an acclaimed baby care brand that specializes in reusable cloth and swim diapers, with her Canvas template inspired by the needs and considerations of her customers. Olga attended Forge Digital and submitted her template through the Braze Bonfire community.
Her journey is designed to enter users after they make a purchase where an additional purchase might be helpful in the near future. The template delivers real value to customers, helping them to avoid the potential of running out of a critical product like diapers. Once their current stock is running low, they are engaged with a new message to inform them that it might be time to make a new purchase. The template combines cross-channel messaging, experimentation, and BrazeAI™-powered optimization to inspire return customers.
In addition to our new Canvas Template Library, you can also save a Canvas created by your team as a template and seamlessly repurpose or iterate on it. You can also dictate organizational governance by setting user permissions so only relevant practitioners are responsible for creating and editing the templates your teammates rely on, avoiding the introduction of errors. For example, let’s say you run a quarterly push for your loyalty programs and you want to save time and replicate that structure every quarter. With just a few clicks, you can save the loyalty program as a template, repurpose the flow and structure, and input your new copy—and your campaign is ready to go.
This feature has already seen value with customers in our Early Access Program. Nicole Ruffner, Campaign Automation Manager at Overstock said: "Braze Canvas Templates have truly transformed the way we work at Overstock. Their straightforward setup and editing capabilities have simplified and significantly streamlined our processes. By eliminating the need to start each email from scratch, our team can now dedicate more time to other projects.”
We are excited to see how our customers—no matter where they are in their journey—use this feature to get started faster by building impactful customer journeys, testing new journeys and experiences, and repurposing the experiences that they already know are going to drive the best relationships with their customers.
